My four and half year old son, Simon, has been a KISS fan for about a year or so now. His favorite songs are "Shout It Out Loud" & "Stand". He loves to watch my KISS dvds and try and play along (air guitar) with the band. In the past it's been Paul and Tommy....but that was until Simon noticed Gene's Axe Bass. What put it over the top was when Simon saw the Guitar Hero controller (based off Gene's Axe) at Wal-Mart, and has been asking for one ever since. We tried to explain how much it was and the fact that we don't even have the game. But Simon's been begging for it non stop, even to tears. He even brought out his piggy bank and gave it to us to put toward the cost of the toy guitar. After my wife recovered from the sweetness of our boy, she decided to make an Axe replica for Simon so he can rock right along with Gene. Not bad for some cardboard, paint, and duct tape huh? Simon sure likes it. Rock on little guy!!

I've written you guys before, I've sent pictures of my son William rockin' his Destroyer onesie. Now that he's approaching two, and developing his personality, it appears he's shaping up to be a Kiss Army Elitist just like his father!!!
In fact, yesterday, when my wife heard Will come out of his room saying "Kiss," she had assumed he was wanting to give mom hugs and kisses. When she turned around, she saw our son reaching for my copry of the Ultimate Kiss Fanzine Phenomenon and saying "Kiss? Kiss?"
Anyway, I thought it was the cutest thing ever, and I was indeed a very proud Dad! I just wanted to send you a picture of him thumbing through the book!

When Lightning Strikes
Subject: When Lightning Strikes From: Rudy Schneider on 03/02/2010
I just recently took my brother, Ben, to see our very first KISS show in Little Rock (Verizon Arena), back in October. It was EVERYTHING I expected it to be. We both have been huge fans since we were babies, so it was like a dream come true. Tommy playing "Shock Me" was the highlight for me. Kinda wish it could've been Ace, but Tommy is awesome no less. Thank you for still rockin' and rollin', and I'm glad I didn't die before I got to see you play. Paul, Gene, Tommy and Eric... from the bottom of my heart, you guys will always be my favorite band. My girlfriend makes fun of my obsession with KISS, but she just doesn't get it. Haha. Oh, and next to LOVE GUN and REVENGE, SONIC BOOM is my FAVORITE album!!!!! Thank you SO much!!!!!!

Hi guys,
I hope to send another note sometime soon with pictures of me and my wife (Jessica Verday -author of The Hollow Trilogy) dressed up as Gene and Paul. Last time, we even had my parents dress up as Ace/Tommy and Pete. But for now I hope you like this tribute I put on my blog (leeaverday.com). After seeing Shutter Island last month I decided I'd rather see "Strutter Island!!"
Best,
Lee Verday
Thanks

KISS,
My name is Kyle Ellis. I am writing to say thank for all the great years you have given us. You are truly unlike any other band. There is a distinct feel to your music and all of it has a meaning to us in some way. I am currently 19, turning 20 next week, and in college, those years you don't expect anything but classes and of course the kick ass parties. Unfortunately my friend was in a car accident over the weekend and didn't make it, we were really close and of course its hit the Virginia Tech community hard, especially the Marching Virginian's. I'm writing because as a die hard fan I felt necessary to tell you how much of an impact you were to her. We were/ are both fans and there were several weekends where we would be catching up on work and listening to you. We even skipped classes one Friday to catch your recent show at the Verizon Center. Its amazing how your music brought us together. You got me through my parents divorce and your getting me through this. I was hoping to send a picture from the reception where I placed my shirt from the concert on the memorial, but out of respect for the family I didn't. Lastly, thank you for sonic boom. Hearing new music has been a real gift. Hope to hear more new music in the future.
-Kyle Ellis
Campaign to save lives includes (From Colombia)
Subject: Campaign to save lives includes Kiss (From Colombia) From: Johanna on 03/01/2010
Hey guys, I'm writing from Colombia. I do not know whether you know about a campaign since last year in our country to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation called "Rockandonando" where you play a very important role and many other major rock bands worldwide.
The campaign has to do with selling shirts that support organ donation as a way to save lives, the messages on the shirts include the logos of rock bands and of course you could not be the exception.
I send the image of Kiss shirt. It is wonderful to see a campaign to save lives includes the best band in the universe.
All my love .... A big fan of Colombia, a country that loves you too and who dreams of returning to see you live.

Dear KISS
My name is Ryan. Iam 16 years old and live in Metairie Louisiana. I just want to tell you that yall have changed my life. I started really being a big fan when i wrote a report on yall for english class in 7th grade. Since then there hasn't been a day that goes by that i don't listen to your music. I have many of the remake CD's, which i now have on my ipod. I also jsut recently found my uncle's old KISS records. Which I want to listen to but I can't find a record player. My first guitar player magazine was with yall on the cover talking about the Sonic Boom CD. The greatest day of my life was Halloween night 2009. I was cheering at a football game ( yes I am a male cheerleader.) I skipped my school's alma mater so I could head to city park. I got there halfway through, but it was the greatest time of my life. I want to see yall in concert again soon. Please keep changing peoples lives by performing and making music.
Keep on rocking,
Ryan
